The Canon XL512,
loaded by hand.
A vintage Canon XL512 is hand-loaded with fresh Super 8 stock and carried alongside our digital cameras through the most meaningful moments of the day. Fifty feet of film. Roughly three and a half minutes of motion per cartridge. Captured in the way wedding films were captured in the very beginning.
The result is footage that doesn't try to be cinematic in the digital sense — it simply is. The image breathes. The light leaks a little. The frame holds something digital coverage cannot.

Super 8 is an emotional layer on top of your day, not a replacement for the main coverage. A few words on how it fits, so it lands beautifully on your wedding.
If you're booking video coverage
When you've booked video, your Super 8 footage is woven into the wedding film alongside the digital coverage — the analog texture becomes part of the larger story rather than a separate piece.
If you're booking photography only
Without video coverage, you still receive the two Super 8 cartridges as their own delivery — a short edited Super 8 highlight, plus every original clip. A small, separate motion archive of your day.
With two shooters on the day
Super 8 shines brightest when there are two operators on the day. One of us can continue covering the essentials digitally while the other moves through the day with the Super 8 camera, capturing the in-between moments on film.
With a single shooter
With one shooter, the main camera will naturally prioritize the essential digital coverage of your day. Super 8 still works beautifully — we just shape its emphasis with you in advance, so the moments you most want on film are the ones we reach for first.
However it's woven in, Super 8 is meant to feel rare and intentional — a small handful of the day's most meaningful moments, photographed on film instead of pixels.
