FAQ · Helpful before you inquire

The details,
made simple.

A clear guide to the questions we hear most often about wedding photography, films, and booking.

Chapter I

The work.

Our style, how we edit, and what years of weddings have taught us about light, restraint, and quiet judgment.

01

What styles of photography and videography do you prefer?

Classic, timeless, story-driven.

We focus on a classic and timeless style: natural colors, elegant light, and balanced composition. At the same time, we capture creative angles and unique moments that make your story feel personal.

Our films follow a storytelling approach — weaving vows, speeches, and candid sounds into visuals that go far beyond a simple chronological record.

02

How do you edit photos and videos?

Hand-crafted color & rhythm.

Photos: we carefully select the best frames, color-correct tones, retouch distractions, and give each photo a refined, timeless look. Black-and-white edits are always included.

Videos: we review all footage, shape the narrative, color-grade, enhance audio, and polish every detail. The result is cinematic storytelling with rhythm and emotion.

03

What is your experience in wedding photography and videography?

12+ years · 5–14 per artist.

We've been capturing weddings for over 12 years. Each team member brings 5–14 years of expertise, which means we anticipate moments before they happen and ensure nothing is missed.

Chapter II

Photos, films & delivery.

What you receive, how soon, and the ways you can extend the story — reels, full edits, raw archive.

04

How many photos will I receive?

Package minimums start at 300+.

Photo minimums depend on the collection: 300+ edited images for 5-hour wedding coverage, 500+ for 8-hour coverage, and 1,000+ for full-team or premium 10-hour coverage. Many galleries include more, depending on the pace and structure of the day.

05

How soon will I get my photos and videos?

Sneak peek in 72h · standard delivery within 30 days.

For wedding photography, you'll receive a sneak peek gallery within 72 hours. Standard full delivery is within 30 days; select full-team or premium video collections include faster delivery, noted in the package details.

06

Can we order additional video content?

Ceremony, speeches, reels, extended film.

Yes. Beyond the highlight film, you can add full-length edits or short vertical videos from your wedding footage.

  • Extended Wedding Film — $400: a 30–90 minute film with more of the full day preserved.
  • Ceremony Edit — $250: full ceremony edit with multiple camera angles, synced audio, and color correction.
  • Ceremony + Speeches Bundle — $400: the best option if you want both full moments preserved.
  • Wedding Reels: 1 vertical reel — $150, or 3 reels — $300.

Wedding Reels are created from the footage captured during your wedding coverage. They do not include social media strategy, trend research, or scripted TikTok-style content planning. If you have a specific idea or moment you'd like us to capture, we're happy to include it during the wedding day coverage.

07

Can we order a longer version of the wedding film?

Extended Film · 30–90 min.

Yes, we offer an Extended Wedding Film (30–90 minutes) in addition to the highlight film. It's perfect if you want to relive more of the day in greater depth.

You can also add separate full-length edits of the ceremony and speeches — details and pricing are listed under Packages → Additional Services.

08

Can we get the raw footage or unedited photos?

Available as an add-on.

Your wedding day happens once — and every glance, every laugh, every small detail is part of your story. Our edited galleries and films capture the essence, but with this add-on you can keep absolutely everything we recorded: the raw, unpolished moments that didn't make it into the final cut.

These files come exactly as they were shot — without color correction or post-production. They may look less vibrant, with lower contrast and saturation, but they preserve the authentic record of your day — ready for future editing, or simply to keep as a once-in-a-lifetime archive.

Both photo and video RAW collections are available. Delivery options include digital download or shipment on an SSD drive. For details and pricing, please see the Packages → Additional Services page.

09

Can I order a wedding album?

From $350 · leather, fabric, crystal.

Yes — we offer hand-crafted albums starting at $350, with multiple cover options including leather, fabric, and crystal. Pricing depends on the album size, number of pages, and selected materials.

Chapter III

Booking, payments & travel.

How dates are held, how packages can flex, and how travel works beyond Los Angeles.

10

How does payment work?

Retainer secures the date; balance one day before.

A non-refundable retainer secures your date:

  • $400 — one photographer
  • $800 — two photographers
  • $1,600 — full team (2 photo + 2 video)

The remaining balance is due one day before the wedding.

11

Can I customize a package to fit my needs?

Absolutely — and we offer payment plans.

Absolutely. We can design a personalized package, add hours, bring in extra photographers or videographers, or include additional sound coverage.

We also offer payment plans — for example: retainer + a second payment before the wedding + a final payment a month later, before delivery. Other flexible options can be discussed to fit your needs.

12

Is travel time during the wedding day counted as working hours?

Only travel during the day itself.

Yes, but only travel that happens during the wedding day (e.g., from ceremony to reception) is counted as working time. Travel before the coverage begins and after it ends is not included.

13

How are transportation costs calculated?

Free within 50 mi of Downtown LA.

No travel fee applies for locations within 50 miles of Downtown Los Angeles.

For locations beyond 50 miles, a travel fee applies based on the round-trip distance and the number of team members traveling.

Round-trip mileage × number of team members × $0.70 per mile

Final travel fee is confirmed once we know the exact venue or shooting location.

14

Who will photograph our engagement session?

The same photographer, whenever possible.

Whenever possible, we assign the same photographer who will be with you on your wedding day. We believe engagement sessions are not just about photos, but also about building comfort and connection with your photographer. That way, on your wedding day, you'll already know how they work — and feel relaxed in front of the camera.

Chapter IV

On the day itself.

How we work — direction, drones, lighting, sound, and the choices behind a calm wedding day.

15

What if I feel uncomfortable in front of the camera?

Gentle guidance, or a documentary approach.

You're not alone. We can guide you with gentle posing, or take a documentary approach — staying in the background and capturing events as they naturally unfold. Either way, the focus is on making you feel relaxed and authentic.

16

Our venue doesn't allow drones. Can this be replaced with another service?

Included in select packages; add-on when needed.

Drone coverage is included in select video and photo + video collections when venue permission, weather, and airspace rules allow. Many venues, especially those near airports or landmarks like Disneyland, simply do not permit drone flights. In those cases, we film without it and your package remains the same.

If drone coverage is included in your collection, it cannot be exchanged for another service because it depends on conditions outside our control. If your collection does not include drone coverage, we can discuss it as an add-on when the location allows it.

17

Do you recommend more photographers for larger events?

80–100+ guests: yes, two of each.

Yes. For weddings with 80–100+ guests, we recommend at least two photographers and two videographers to fully capture multiple angles and all key moments.

Cultural weddings (Jewish, Armenian, Indian, etc.) often require larger teams due to simultaneous traditions — we'll advise based on your schedule.

18

Do you use lighting equipment?

Yes — when the moment needs it.

Yes, when needed — especially for speeches, first dances, or evening receptions — to ensure people and moments are beautifully lit.

19

How do you ensure high-quality audio in our wedding films?

Lavalier mics + direct DJ feed.

We take audio seriously — vows, speeches, and live sound are what bring your film to life. We use lavalier microphones on the groom, officiant, and sometimes parents, and we also connect directly to the DJ's or venue's sound system whenever possible.

If the DJ or venue technician allows access, we record a clean audio feed from their microphone system. This ensures your vows and speeches sound clear, crisp, and emotional — not muffled or lost in the background.

20

What happens if a memory card fails during the wedding?

Dual-card record + two off-site backups.

We take file safety very seriously. All of our professional cameras record to two memory cards at the same time, creating an instant backup while we shoot. This way, if one card ever fails, the other has a complete copy.

After your wedding, we immediately back up everything to at least two separate drives in different locations. Your memories are never stored in just one place, and we keep them safe until your final gallery and films are delivered.

Chapter V

Trust, privacy & insurance.

How we hold your memories, your data, and your privacy — and why our paperwork is in order.

21

Do you ensure privacy for personal moments, like vows or letters?

Yes — excluded from online trailers.

Yes. If you prefer to keep certain moments (like vows or letters) private, we'll exclude them from online trailers but include them in your artistic film.

22

Do you have insurance? Can you add our venue to it?

Full liability · venue added free.

Yes, we carry full liability insurance — and adding your venue as an Additional Insured is completely free. Many venues require this, and we're happy to provide it.

Some venues ask for special endorsements (primary endorsement, waiver of subrogation, etc.). These can also be arranged for an additional fee (usually $162).

23

Can we trust your business and payments?

Registered LLC · Stripe · HoneyBook.

Yes — trust and transparency are at the core of everything we do. Zatonsky Moments LLC is a fully registered company in California, and all of your data and payments are protected by secure, industry-standard systems.

  • Official Registration: Verify us in the California Secretary of State Registry (search: Zatonsky Moments LLC).
  • Secure Payments: All transactions go through Stripe, ensuring encrypted processing.
  • Trusted Platform: Contracts & invoices are managed with HoneyBook.
  • Verified Reviews: See real feedback on Google Reviews.
  • Privacy & Data: We follow our Privacy Policy — your data is safe, never sold or shared.

In short: we are a legally registered LLC, we use secure and reputable platforms, and we safeguard your privacy at every step.

24

Can we ask you not to share our photos online? What about copyright?

Yes — privacy honored on request.

Yes, absolutely — if you let us know in advance, we will respect your privacy and not use your photos or videos in our portfolio, website, or social media.

As for copyright: by law, all photographs and films remain the intellectual property of the creators, even after they are delivered to you. This is standard practice in the wedding industry and ensures your memories are preserved with professional protection.

If you would like to fully own the copyrights (so that no rights remain with us), this can be arranged through a separate agreement with an additional fee — typically starting at $2,000–$3,000 depending on the scope. This is because transferring copyright means giving up all future rights of usage.

Most couples do not find this necessary, but the option is available for those who specifically require it.
